Obituary for David Alan Gooch
In memory of David Alan Gooch who passed away suddenly at St Mary's hospital in Kitchener, on Tuesday November 2, 2021.
David is survived by his wife Pat, his daughter Charlotte and son Lance (Tammy). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Tasha (Dwayne), Matthew (Michelle), Mara (John), Austin and Noah, and great grandchildren Carter, Aubrianna, Briella and Benjamin.
David was born and raised in Stratford. He ran the league for Uptown Bowling Lanes, loved travelling, especially to Vegas, and has been to almost every state south of the border. David retired from Schaeffler, Canada (F.A.G) in 2010 and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially if you had a dog. He loved his dogs, adopting all of his family and friend’s dogs as his own. When he wasn’t playing with his canine friends, Dave loved to read and was a great movie critic. He also enjoyed playing golf and slot games on the iPad.
A private family service will be held at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 804 Ontario Street, Stratford on November 13, 2021 at 11 am. Attendance is THROUGH GUEST LIST ONLY AND IS NOW FULL. All Covid protocols of social distancing and the wearing of masks is mandatory. Debra Sinclair officiating.
A second informal gathering for family and friends will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Stratford Branch 8. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1-4 pm. Everyone in attendance for this function MUST HAVE PROOF OF DOUBLE VACCINATION against Covid 19 and will be screened at the door.
