Jodie Lynne Galbraith, a resident of Woodland Towers, Stratford, passed away suddenly on August 22 2019 at Stratford General Hospital in her 51st year.

Jodie was predeceased by grandparents Raymond and Margaret Galbraith of Stratford, Bruce and Loretta Subject of Southampton and her uncle Brian LeSouder of Stratford.
Jodie is survived by her parents James and Bonnie Galbraith and her sister Shannon (Peter Price). Proud aunt of Noah and Maggie, who in her mind will always be 12 and 10. Also survived by her aunt, Norine LeSouder (nee Galbraith), uncles Paul Subject (Christina)and David Subject. Jodie will be greatly missed by cousins Greg, Braden and Michael LeSouder and Susan Subject (Matt) and their daughters Sarah and Jessica.

Out of respect for Jodie’s wishes, she has been cremated and no visitation will be held. A private family gathering will take place at a later date to honour Jodie and celebrate her life.

Jodie was a kind and joyful soul. If you ever met Jodie, you met a happy, giggling, story-telling beam of light who gave unconditional love to those around her. She loved her 80ʼs music, Glass Tiger and Bon Jovi, the battle between team Edward and Jacob from Twilight and her memories of the drag races and how special that made her feel. Most of all she loved her family, closely related or not. She could never express enough, her love for her Mom and Dad, who have stood by her through the many ups and downs of her life. We were all blessed to have a few extra special years with Jodie, when she moved back to Mitchell, before venturing on her own to Woodland Towers. You are truly special and we feel empty by your loss. We love and miss you Jod. Xoxo

We would like to thank all the staff of Woodland Towers, nursing, housekeeping, and maintenance for all of the caring support she received, and the many residents that she spoke of with genuine affection.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice directly at, or through the funeral home website , or to a charity of ones’ choice by calling 519-271-5062. Dear Jim, Bonnie, Pete, Shannon, Noah and Maggie: Not often do I visit an obituary website, but I was saddened and terribly surprised to learn of Jody's passing this morning when I opened up Rutherford's page. I feel bad for not knowing sooner. She was such a cheerful girl and I remember well when she was a bridesmaid and I altered a dress for her to wear.
You will miss her smile and her presence. You have my sincere sympathy, Joan Tam

Dearest Jim, Bonnie and Shannon - I am so very sad to hear for the passing of Jodie. Along with this sad news precipitated a flood of memories of the time I spend with you all... a very precious family who welcomed me into your hearts and home. Most importantly at that time I gained two sisters, Jodie and Shannon! Jodie was always so protective of me and so loving in everyway. Such very happy and special memories for me... I sat today and after many years, went through my old photos. Unfortunately they have not come out too well as they are photos of photos, but I still wanted to share them with you...Sending very special love to you all at this time.

I had many chats on the bus with Jodie many years ago on the way to northwestern! She was in grade 9 and I was in Grade 13! I'd run into her the odd time and we would have a chat! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers@
