Obituary for June Myrtle Wray (Butson)
June M. Wray, 95, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2022 at Cedarcroft Place, Stratford ON.
June was an animal lover and supportive of many animal and wildlife organizations as well as being a member of St. John’s United Church and Avondale United Church, Stratford. She loved live theatre, travel and great conversation.
Born in Stratford, she is the daughter of Roy and Myrtle (Curtis) Butson. Dear mother of Bryan Wray and his wife Tamara Walsh and Beverly Wray-Green and her husband Gregory Green. Loving grandmother of Connor Green. Big sister to Ronald Butson and wife Anne. Sister-in-law to Donna Butson, and Bert Wray and his wife Helen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her husband, Richard (Dick) Wray, sisters Myrna Butson (in infancy), Irene Day and Lena Million, brothers Leonard and Barry Butson, as well as brothers-in-law Jim Million, Vance Day, William and James Wray, and sisters-in-law Florence Butson, Wilma Watson and Elizabeth West.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the kind and professional personnel at Cedarcroft Place who made June’s last years as comfortable as possible.
