Martin Ross Rowe, 77, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on October 19, 2019.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Joan of 51 years, his three children Bob, Mary-Anne (Randy) and Marty, his six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Bruce (Andrea), brother-in-law Bill, sister-in-law Diane and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, his two sisters, his two other brothers and one grandson.

Martin was a parishioner of Bethel Pentecostal Church. The loves in Martin’s life were simple things – the love of his cottage, the love of his church and the love of his family.

There will be a celebration of Martin’s life at the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Stratford on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice Foundation through the Rutherford Cremation & Funeral Services website, or by calling the funeral home at 519-271-5062, or directly at

It was such a pleasure getting to know Martin over the years, I truly looked forward to our visits. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with Joan, and their family during this time.

So very sorry to hear of Martin’s death, I have great memories of ministering with him all those years ago at St. John’s Anglican Church here in Matheson. Also enjoyed our many visits to the cottage on Sesekinika Lake, swimming & rides on the pontoon boat, they were fun times. He has now entered the eternal Kingdom with the Lord he loved and faithfully served. Norm and I send our sincere condolences to Joan and family!

Best brother-in-law ever. I don’t remember a time he wasn’t part of my life. He was the best Uncle Mart to my kids and will be sooooooo missed. Love Diane
