Obituary

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mary Cawdle passed on July 20, 2020 at Hillside Manor, Township of Perth East, in her 100th year.

The daughter of the late George and Emma Grant of Bayfield, New Brunswick, Mary was married to the late Barry Lawrence Cawdle, also of Bayfield, New Brunswick, where they lived for many years prior to his death in 2000.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Gardiner and partner Wayne Melvin of Stratford Ontario, granddaughter Nicole Bennett (Tyler) of Sarnia Ontario, sister Madeline Goodwin (Ellis) of Delaware Ontario, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sister Grace Johnson (Cecil) and Carrie Beers (Ernest).

While living in New Brunswick, Mary was a member of Wesley United Church, Bayfield, a member of the Ladies Institute, UCW and a 4-H leader. Many summers were spent at the family cottage and on road trips in the camper.

She will dearly be missed.

Out of respect for Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a small graveside service will be held at a later date in New Brunswick. Donations in Mary's memory would be gratefully accepted by calling the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home (Rutherford Cremation & Funeral Services) at 519-271-5062.
