Patricia “Pat/Patty Lou” Lois Burrows, nee Dunbar, passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Spruce Lodge. Pat was in her 83rd year. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Ted Burrows.
Born and raised in Woodstock, Ontario to Bobby and Ruth Dunbar, she is the loving and wonderful mother of Tony (Charlene Ross) and Kathy-Anne (Bill Neumann). Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her girls; granddaughters Jessi, Chaylene, and Madison. Proud and loving “Gigi” of Kinsley. Pat is survived by her sister Deanna Payne and brother Phil Dunbar (Criss) and in addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her parents, in-laws and five brothers-in-law.
Pat, when she was able and mobile, could be found gardening, making crafts, knitting or reading books. She was a life-long employee of K-Mart, Stratford - at home in the domestic arts; the fabric, knitting and sewing department. She made many friends wherever she worked or stayed and was a quick-witted, sharp-tongued woman that would give everyone her own “special” term of endearment. She was not often far from her best friend Errol Mercer. This dynamic duo often broke the rules. They will be friends forever. She will be sorely missed by the many she crossed paths with and those that gave their time to care for her.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service/gathering will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 1-3 pm at the Stratford Legion Branch 8.
Donations in memory are gratefully accepted to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation directly at www.sghfoundation.org, or through Rutherford Cremation & Funeral Services, www.jarfh.com, 804 Ontario Street, Stratford. 519-271-5062.
