Obituary for Steven John Curtis
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Steven John Curtis on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his residence in Stratford, ON.
Born in Stratford, he was the son of the late Robert J. Curtis and Annie P. Curtis (Gibson), and was predeceased by a brother, William Curtis (2014). Steve is survived by his brother Thomas Curtis and sister Joan Restall of Stratford, brother Bruce Curtis and his wife Patricia Ferries of London, and five nieces; Krista Van Nes, Katie and Maggie Curtis, Michelle Restall, and Alison Curtis. In addition to his family, he leaves behind many friends and coffee buddies.
As a life-long resident of Stratford, Steve enjoyed gardening, fishing and living along the Avon River. He worked for many years at the Avon Maitland District School Board until his retirement in 2020.
Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service and interment will be held for family and close friends at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, Ontario.
